After discovering an audio recording I made of the 1995 CART IndyCar Series round at Long Beach that had been missing for more than 20 years, I converted it to podcast form for your 2.65-liter turbocharged V8 listening delight. After hearing the screaming Ford XBs, Ilmor Mercedes-Benzs and Hondas powering the likes of Al Unser Jr, Michael Andretti, Bobby Rahal, Emerson and Christian Fittipaldi, Paul Tracy, Jimmy Vasser, Bryan Herta, and more of the iconic drivers from CART’s golden era, you might come to appreciate why so many miss the best-sounding engine formula the series has produced.
