The reach of social media could land Matt DiBenedetto and Go Fas Racing support for this weekend’s race at ISM Raceway.

It started with a video that DiBenedetto posted on Twitter, saying his No.32 Ford is unsponsored for the upcoming Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race. He asked for anyone interested, or with connections to others who might be, to contact the team.

Within minutes, fellow driver Denny Hamlin said he would pitch in $5,000. Next came Darrell Waltrip offering the same amount through his “Boogity Brands” and Kevin Harvick also pitching in the same amount from KHI Management.

By Tuesday night, Go Fas Racing was working on finalizing a primary sponsorship deal with Zynga Poker. The deal has not yet been signed, sealed and delivered but there has been initial interest.

It was incorrectly reported that Grunt Style was also getting involved. However, a different clothing company might be on the hook. And with the funds offered by Hamlin, Waltrip, and Harvick, the single-car operation is getting much-needed help in restocking resources. Hamlin, Waltrip and Harvick’s donations will also be represented on the No.32 car.
