Hakkinen launches social media start-up

By

Two-time Formula 1 world champion Mika Hakkinen has launched his own start-up social media company designed to offer additional access to high profile figures.

Hakkinen – who won his world championships driving for McLaren in 1998 and 1999 – has co-founded the iNZDR App, which introduces a “premium tier” to social media. iNZDR users can publish, view and comment on photos and videos on the app, as well as follow influencers for free, but selected content on Premium Accounts can be hidden behind a paywall.

Premium content, images or video, will appear as blurred to users without the monthly subscription of approximately $1.99/month (or equivalent in the local currency).

The purpose of the iNZDR Premium Account is to generate revenue for high-profile social media influencers, with Hakkinen – who is currently inviting influencers to join his new app – stating that some of the stars involved will donate proceeds to charity.

Hakkinen himself has already added over 200 unseen pictures and videos to his account, while iNZDR is currently looking to add actors, athletes, artists and video bloggers to the app, which can be downloaded from Google Play and the App Store.
