NY-based supercar maker to enter two cars in Nurburgring 24 Hours

New York-based Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus will have two SCG003C's from Chris Ruud's Lightspeed Racing competing in the 24 Hours of Nurburgring.

The SCG-designed cars were engineered, and built from the ground up to run with race-restricted horsepower of about 500 and 100kg of ballast. SCG's road car SCG003S will have over 200 more horsepower and 250Nm more torque than the restricted race version.

Check out SCG's video pitting the SCG003C against the "record" video of the Porsche 918 and the Lamborghini Huracán over the same section of the Nordschleife. Both the Porsche and the Lamborghini ran with non-street-legal roll cages which stiffened their chassis. The SCG003C ran in race-restricted condition on slicks.

SCG will soon begin a road testing program. The SCG003S will be displayed at The Quail during Monterey Car Week.
