No penalties from NASCAR as Busch, Logano talk
NASCAR will not penalize Kyle Busch, Joey Logano or their respective teams for the pit-road post-race fight at last weekend's Kobalt 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
"After a full review of multiple videos and discussions with both competitors and their respective race teams, we felt Sunday's post-race incident does not warrant any further action," Steve O'Donnell, NASCAR executive vice president and chief racing development officer, told NASCAR.com.
"NASCAR was built on the racing that took place on the final lap by two drivers battling for position. The emotions of our athletes run high, and Kyle Busch and Joey Logano are two of the most passionate and competitive drivers in the sport. Both competitors are very clear on our expectations going forward and we will be meeting with them in person prior to practice on Friday in Phoenix."

In the battle for a top-five spot on the last lap, contact from Logano sent Busch spinning down pit road for a 22nd-place finish, and Busch angrily exited his car and stormed down pit road. Upon finding Logano next to his car, Busch took a swing at the Team Penske driver, which resulted in a pileup of Penske and Joe Gibbs Racing team members.
Busch received a bloody forehead during the scuffle and was removed by a NASCAR official.
During an appearance on Fox Sports 1's "NASCAR Race Hub" Tuesday night, Logano said he and Busch spoke on the phone earlier that day.
"We're going to have two sides to the story like there is all the time, but really the bottom line is we're two passionate racecar drivers," Logano said. "We're two of the best in the sport that are going to go for wins that are aggressive and we collided."
