
Chicagoland offers free tickets if Earnhardt wins Daytona
Chicagoland Speedway wants fans to attend the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series playoff opener in September, and they've come up with an enticing ticket offer to make it happen.
If Dale Earnhardt Jr. wins the Daytona 500, fans who have bought a ticket to Chicagoland will get a refund. No need to read twice.
Chicagoland announced Monday afternoon a limited-time offer, titled "Winning with Dale," that is open for fans between now and the 59th annual Daytona 500 on February 26.

If Earnhardt then goes on to win his third Daytona 500 later this month, those fans will be given a complete refund.Earnhardt is a two-time winner of the Daytona 500 (2004 and 2014) and is set to make his return to competition in this year's event after missing the second half of 2016 with a concussion. He also has a lone Chicagoland victory, which came in the summer of 2005.
In addition to being the site of the kickoff race in the playoffs for the Cup Series, Chicagoland will also host the Camping World Truck and Xfinity series, as well as the ARCA Racing Series in September.
With NASCAR unveiling a new format for its races beginning this year, it makes Chicagoland even more important. Plus, the driver who arrives at Chicagoland as the regular season champion will be rewarded with 15 playoff points. Playoff points also now carry through each round until Homestead.
