DTM: First two 2017 dates announced

The DTM has confirmed details for only the opening two events of its 2017 schedule. The German series revealed the dates for its Hockenheim season opener and round two at Lausitz on Wednesday, but it said work on the rest of its calendar for next year remains ongoing.
The opening two events of 2017 take place in May, with the World Rallycross Championship on the same bill at Hockenheim from May 5-7, and the ADAC GT Masters series joining the DTM at Lausitz two weeks later (May 19-21).
"The final planning for the other seven race meetings of the 2017 season is running," said a DTM statement, confirming there will be nine race weekends for the third year in succession. "As soon as the venues and dates have been determined, the official 2017 DTM race calendar will be published."
The DTM announced its full 2016 calendar on Nov. 30 last year.
