GP3: McLaren's de Vries wins as Leclerc crashes

as their teammates Charles Leclerc and Nirei Fukuzumi collided
.Ferrari academy driver Leclerc was trying to pass Honda protege Fukuzumi for fifth through the Roggia chicane on the third lap when the accident occurred. They went side by side through the corner before Fukuzumi moved across on the exit in defense, seemingly unaware that Leclerc was still largely alongside him.
Fukuzumi's car shot into the barriers and then collected Tatiana Calderon as it rebounded across the track, while championship leader Leclerc slewed into the Lesmo gravel with suspension damage.
Albon was leading de Vries at the time, the ART pair having passed reverse grid polesitter Antonio Fuoco's Trident car in quick succession over the opening laps. But on the restart lap de Vries dived inside his team-mate into the Roggia chicane. He nearly replicated Fukuzumi's damaging defense on the exit, with Albon backing out of his retaliation attempt and ensuring they continued unscathed.
While de Vries went on to win by 1.7 seconds over Albon, Fuoco gained on Leclerc in the standings by fending off battling Arden duo Jake Dennis and Jack Aitken for third.
Arjun Maini won a wild upper midfield tussle to claim sixth via a last-lap move on Alex Palou.
Saturday podium finisher Jake Hughes tumbled down the order when he got airborne banging wheels with Aitken off the startline. He fought back through to 10th, chasing Artur Janosz and Ralph Boschung.
Matt Parry would have been in the mix for points, too, had he not picked up a puncture on lap one and scooted at high speed over the Ascari gravel.
