F1: No damage to Vettel's engine from Russia crash

Ferrari says there is no indication of damage to Sebastian Vettel's Formula 1 power unit from his crash with Daniil Kvyat in the Russian Grand Prix.
Kvyat locked up and hit Vettel's Ferrari under braking for Turn 2 on lap one of last weekend's Sochi race. Both continued but Kvyat hit Vettel again into the fast Turn 3, sending him into the wall.
After the race, team principal Maurizio Arrivabene said Ferrari was unsure about the damage to the power unit, which is already Vettel's third of the season.
"The crash was quite hard, especially for the back of the car and also to the barrier," he said. "But, like last time, until you are at home and you are inspecting all the parts you can't see anything."
Following investigations at the factory, Ferrari says there is no suggestion the engine is damaged. The team will replace the gearbox but this is a routine procedure in such cases as it involves no penalty.
