GT: Christodoulou lands AMG Mercedes contract

Briton Adam Christodoulou has been signed as an official AMG Mercedes driver for the coming season.
The 26-year-old, a regular aboard the German manufacturer's GT3 machinery over the past three years, joins AMG's 10-strong pool of contracted GT drivers alongside the likes of Bernd Schneider, Maximillian Buhk, Maro Engel and Yelmer Buurman.
Christodoulou will contest the Nurburgring 24 Hours in May, the six-hour qualifying race in April and selected rounds of the VLN long-distance championship on the Nordschleife with the Black Falcon squad in his new role.
The two-time VLN racer winner in 2015 said: "It is absolutely a dream come true; I'm lost for words. I've raced with Black Falcon for the past three years now and it's thanks to the efforts they have put in that it has been possible to make this happen."
Christodoulou will share a Mercedes-AMG GT3 with Schneider, Engel and Manuel Metzger. He will also contest the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup in a Black Falcon Merc with Hubert Haupt and Andreas Simonsen in the pro class.
The second factory-backed Black Falcon entry for the 24 Hours at the 'Ring on May 28/29 will be raced by Buurman, Haupt, Nico Bastian and Dirk Muller.
Mercedes has announced that it will be represented in the 24 Hours by a trio of factory teams in Black Falcon, HTP Motorsport and Haribo Racing.
