Stevens and Rast to share WRT Blancpain entry

Ex-Formula 1 driver Will Stevens and Audi factory racer Rene Rast will share a late entry run by the WRT Audi GT squad in this year's Blancpain GT Series.
Stevens and Rast will race a sixth WRT Audi R8 LMS entered for the BGTS Sprint Cup and a fifth car from the team in the Endurance Cup. Their respective LMP2 programs in the World Endurance Championship with the Manor and G-Drive/Jota teams means they will miss one Sprint round (Brands Hatch) and enduro (Nurburgring) over the course of the season.
I really wanted to be busy and do a lot of racing in different disciplines this year so this gives me a good opportunity to do that," said Stevens (pictured). "I hope to have a very good season alongside Rene. I want to prove myself against the best in the discipline and he is one of those."
Stevens got his first experience of a GT3 car when he drove for the Belgian team last week at Misano before completing another test at Monza.
Teammates for Stevens have yet to be selected for the Spa 24 Hours in July when Rast will be driving a full-factory WRT entry with Laurens Vanthoor and Nico Muller.
