GP3: Palou to lead Campos

Campos Racing has signed Alex Palou, Konstantin Tereschenko and Steijn Schothorst for the 2016 GP3 season. As a rookie, Palou finished 10th in the 2015 standings with Campos, winning the final race of the season in Abu Dhabi.

"I'm happy to be back in the GP3 Series driving a Campos Racing car," the 18-year-old said. "I'm entirely convinced we will be able to build on the experience gained last year to be competitive from the scratch. I'm looking forward to driving the GP3 car again."

Russian driver Tereschenko contested three GP3 events with the team last year, in addition to winning the Spanish Formula 3 championship and finishing second in Euroformula Open with Campos. Schothorst will be a GP3 rookie, the Dutch driver having finished second in last year's Renault Sport Trophy.

Earlier this week, Campos announced it would field Mitch Evans and Sean Gelael in GP2 in 2016. GP3 itself has also confirmed its 2016 pre-season testing dates.

A three-day test at Estoril on March 22-24 will be followed by two-day tests at Valencia on April 7-8 and Barcelona on April 20-21. An in-season test at the Red Bull Ring has also been scheduled for June 7-8.
