Simraceway Performance Driving Center set to launch Winter Series at Sonoma
The Simraceway Performance Driving Center (http://simracewaydrivingschool.com/) today announced a full grid for its 2016 F3 winter series.
Building on the success from the past 2 seasons since re-launching its F3 summer racing series, Simraceway Performance Driving Center will be one of the first to ring in the New Year with competitive racing as it waves the green flag on the first of 2 weekends of racing in January & February comprising the 2016 Winter Series. Both weekends will be held at Simraceway PDCs main base at Sonoma Raceway with its friendly climate & weather it's an ideal spot for any U.S. or International drivers to keep sharp over the training months between seasons.
The extremely affordable Winter Series ($8,995 per full weekend) grid filled quickly after the announcement late in 2015 as old and new drivers jumped at the chance to keep themselves on the competitive edge over the winter months behind the wheel of Simraceways' 300hp Lola F3 derived formula cars.
Each weekend will be a 3 day event with practice, qualifying and a race on each day. Once again all competitors will be racing on Pirelli's fast and resilient tires that have shown so well over the past 2 seasons with a set allocation per driver to keep the playing field even. Each weekend will also be run on 2 separate layouts of the Sonoma raceway adding a little variety as well.
