LE MANS: Taylor joins brother in Corvette lineup

Ricky Taylor will join brother Jordan in the Corvette Racing lineup for next year's Le Mans 24 Hours.

The brothers will each drive one of the two Chevrolet Corvette C7.R GTE Pro class contenders in the prestige round of the World Endurance Championship in June. Elder brother Ricky will be driving for Corvette Racing for the first time, while Jordan will be making his fifth appearance at Le Mans with the Pratt & Miller-run squad.

The deal for Ricky also marks his return to Le Mans after a year's absence, having previously raced a GTE-Am class privateer Corvette and then a Morgan-Judd/BMW LMP2 for the Larbre Competition team in 2013 and '14, respectively.

The brothers will again share a factory-supported Wayne Taylor Racing Dallara-Chevrolet Corvette DP in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship next year.

"I'm honored to be chosen to represent Chevrolet and Corvette Racing at Le Mans," said Ricky. "I've raced there twice, but nothing compares to going there as part of this team: it means a lot to me to have this opportunity."

Chevrolet has yet to disclose its driver combinations for next year. Jordan Taylor shared with Oliver Gavin and Tommy Milner in 2015, claiming a class victory, and partnered Jan Magnussen and Antonio Garcia in '12-14.

Corvette Racing announced earlier on Tuesday that Audi drivers Marcel Fassler and Mike Rockenfeller would join the regular drivers for the IMSA enduros at Daytona and Sebring.
