Porsche North America COTA Post-Race Report
In the TUDOR United Sports Car Championship, the No. 911 Porsche 911 RSR of team Porsche North America finished in third, after four straight race wins in the series.
After winning the previous four TUDOR races in GTLM, three by the factory team Porsche North America, the third place finish by the iconic rear-engined sports car on Saturday for Nick Tandy and Patrick Pilet in the No. 911 Porsche 911 RSR brought the streak to a close. Just behind in fourth position was Porsche factory driver Wolf Henzler and Bryan Sellers in the Falken Tire No. 17 Porsche 911 RSR. In fifth was the No. 912 Porsche 911 RSR driven by Jörg Bergmeister and Earl Bamber. Team Porsche North America heads to the final TUDOR race of the season at Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta in two weeks, leading the Manufacture, Team and Driver Championships by three points each.
IMSA TUDOR GT Daytona
In GTD, the best finishing Porsche was fourth with Alex Job Racing's No. 23 911 GT America Spirit of Seattle driven by Mario Farnbacher and Ian James. The Park Place Porsche No. 73 911 GT America finished in fifth, co-driven by Patrick Lindsey and Spencer Pumpelly.
