QUOTEBOARD

Joey Hand – No. 01 Ford EcoBoost/Riley

“It’s my first pole in the TUDOR championship and my first pole with Chip Ganassi. I’m super excited to be a part of this team and be the guy that does something for them. I’ve been coming here since 2001, so when you have a good race car underneath you it makes for a really fun time. We had a car that was pushing during practice and during qualifying, so I didn’t know what to expect, but the Ganassi guys did a great job making some changes for qualifying.”

James French – No. 38 Ric-Man Construction/GO-PUCK/Braille Batteries ORECA FLM09

“On the laps leading up to the final lap, everything felt good, but it wasn’t all quite there. I was pushing harder, and Chris (Cumming) was too. The trend kept going. I got to the final lap and they said this is my last chance. My coach was really persistent and told me to try harder, so I put my head down and was able to get a good lap together.”
