• Keys to race, according to Team Penske's Will Power: "Anytime you race at Toronto, you need to have a bit of luck on your side. Obviously a fast car helps tremendously, but it seems inevitable that you will have some contact during the race. You just hope it doesn't put you out. You have to race side by side into some of the corners -- especially after the long straight -- and sometimes both of you don't come out of it unscathed."
• Points: Driver, entrant and engine manufacturer receive points corresponding to their finish in the race (manufacturer points are awarded to the top three Chevrolet and Honda finishers). Bonus points for driver/entrant also are awarded for Verizon P1 Award (1 point), leading the most laps (2 points) and leading a lap (1 point). Engine manufacturer bonus points are awarded for Verizon P1 Award (1 point) and leading the most laps (2 points).
• 2014 races: Sebastien Bourdais of KVSH Racing won Race 1 from the pole and Mike Conway of Ed Carpenter Racing won Race 2. Tony Kanaan was a double podium finisher (third and second).
