Bentley revives Le Mans win livery for Nurburgring

Bentley will revive the livery in which it won the 2003 Le Mans 24 Hours for its assault on this weekend's Nurburgring enduro.

The #85 Bentley Continental GT3 to be driven by Steven Kane, Guy Smith and Andy Meyrick in the Nurburgring 24 Hours will run in the same British Racing Green colours as the Speed 8 LMGTP that won at Le Mans 12 years ago (pictured below).

Bentley Motorsport boss Brian Gush told AUTOSPORT: "It will be the first time that a Continental GT3 has run in BRG. It's a bit of fun, because we wanted to celebrate our Le Mans success, but there is also a serious side: it will allow us and the officials a chance to easily distinguish between our two cars."

Two cars are being fielded under the Bentley Motors banner at the Nurburgring this weekend in a joint campaign between the factory M-Sport team and the German HTP Motorsport squad.

The second car, #84, will be driven by Nurburgring specialists Jeroen Bleekemolen, Christian Menzel and Lance David Arnold.

Arnold will also be entered in the #85 car, while Christopher Bruck will be the nominated reserve in #84.

HTP, which has a fleet of five Continentals for its assaults on the Blancpain GT Series, ADAC GT Masters and the Nurburgring 24 Hours, will also field a solo car under its own banner.

It will be driven by Bruck, Clemens Schmid, Marco Seefried and Harold Primat.
