Explore Sebring’s Best Viewing: Six Ways to Watch the 12 Hours

Sebring is flat as a pancake and lacks the elevation changes of scenic road courses like Road Atlanta. But the legendary 3.74-mile circuit, formerly a WWII B-17 air base, more than makes up for that with 17 challenging turns, an incredible atmosphere and a rough and tough surface that tests every aspect of a car and driver.

So when you arrive at Sebring’s massive facility, you may be wondering “where exactly can I get a good view of the action?” Here are six suggestions:

Viewing Berms: Some of Sebring’s best viewing is from the viewing berms located at several points around the circuit. Our favorite is the turns 3-4-5 section that gives a stadium-like view of the action. Bring a folding chair and get ready for some great TUDOR Championship racing. Nine other berms are located around the circuit, including at the Gurney Bend, Hairpin and Turn 13.

Rail Birding: Walking the fence line around the Sebring circuit is a great way to learn the track and experience Sebring’s festive atmosphere. The Green Park portion of the circuit has a viewing path between the fence line and the trackside parking so you can walk a large portion of the circuit immediately adjacent to the track.

Grandstands: Sebring has small grandstands at the Hairpin and Turn 14 that provide a nice elevated look at two very exciting turns.

Pit Box: Pit box seats are located on the second level of the pit structure and require pit box tickets. The Fangio Terrace pit boxes are located west of the pit tower and the Gurney Terrace is east of the tower. They give an amazing elevated view of the front straight and all the pit action. The pit boxes are covered, but bring ear plugs as this is the loudest viewing area of the circuit!

Reserved Trackside Parking: Over one thousand reserved trackside parking/camping spaces are located around the circuit. Many fans prefer to camp at the track and watch the race from the top of their motorhomes- a Sebring tradition! You can reserve your own space by calling 800.626.7223.

Paddock Action: Every Sebring ticket allows access to the competitor’s paddock. If you want to watch the teams prepare for the race, or make repairs during the race, you can get close to the action! No track offers a more fan-friendly paddock experience than Sebring.

And remember, there are two jumbo screens at the circuit so you can watch the live TV feed, plus two scoreboards and a scoring tower showing the standings.
