PWC: Nissan GTR program continues to evolve

It's hardly a secret for those on the inside of the Pirelli World Challenge series, but for those hoping to see Andretti Autosport fielding the factory-assisted Nissan GTR program, the talks between Nissan USA and the defending Indy 500 winners broke off earlier this month.

RACER confirmed the program has yet to be shelved, with a few different teams said to be under consideration by the Japanese brand's American arm, including the championship-winning AIM Autosport outfit.

Due to the delayed negotiations, it's believed that if a deal is concluded, it could lead the awesome twin-turbo V6-powered GT cars to miss the PWC season opener at Circuit of the Americas on March 6-8.
