Marko says Red Bull trophy theft just about the money
a group of men broke into Red Bull Racing's headquarters in Milton Keynes, UK, and made off with a number of the team's F1 trophies
had team boss Christian Horner puzzled at the possible motivations behind it, noting that the trophies held little monetary value. However, team consultant Dr. Helmut Marko reckons that, limited though it may be, that monetary value means the trophies are unlikely to be recovered intact.Marko told Germany's Die Welt that closed-circuit video footage showed the robbery was carried out by 10 masked men who drove a vehicle through the factory's glass doors and then smashed open the trophy case with a sledgehammer.
"We suspect that the gang will melt our trophies down, judging by the way they were thrown carelessly into the car," Marko added. "The price of silver is currently very high and they can't be sold because they are too unique."
