In-depth coverage of the SCCA Runoffs tops the December issue of SportsCar magazine
SportsCar magazine’s December 2014 issue looks at the SCCA Club Racing event of the year, the SCCA National Championship Runoffs, held Oct. 6-12 at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. The event’s return to the West Coast marked its first in more than 40 years, and first ever time at the Monterey-based track.
Some 500 drivers took to the track, competing in one of 27 classes, all vying for the highly coveted Runoffs gold medal. This issue takes a detailed look at each race, offering insight from winners and top finishers.
Also in this issue, while the dust has settled on the 2014 installment of the SCCA RallyCross National Championship, SportsCar has all the dirt. More than 100 drivers competed for the Championship title, but only nine claimed it. In addition, the United States Road Rally Challenge (USRRC) took on a new format for its 2014 season finale, partnering with the Coker Tire Challenge for an adventurous time in Tennessee.
Check out these great features, your favorite columns, and more in the December 2014 issue of SportsCar.
