Oriola returns to WTCC for Macau
Pepe Oriola will return to the World Touring Car Championship for the final round of the season in Macau. Oriola will race a SEAT Leon 1.6T in the TC2 class.
The 20-year-old Spaniard will be reunited with former Sunred/Tuenti boss Joan Orus, whose team merged with Campos last year.
"I am excited to come back to racing," said Oriola, who has acted as a driver coach for Campos in the European Touring Car Cup this year. "Macau is always an interesting track, and thanks to my sponsor Cali Group Macau, I will go for it. It would be nice to be on the podium of the TC2T category."
Oriola is a veteran of three WTCC campaigns with Tuenti/Sunred, and became the category's youngest ever winner by taking victory in the reversed-grid race in Marrakech last year.
