Trident changes entire GP3 lineup
Trident has changed its entire GP3 Series driver line-up ahead of this weekend's round at Spa-Francorchamps.
Replacing regulars Roman de Beer, Victor Carbone and recent GP3 debutant Mitch Gilbert will be Konstantin Tereshchenko, John Bryant-Meisner and Luca Ghiotto.
Russian driver Tereshchenko has been competing in Euroformula Open for Campos Racing in 2014, and the 20-year-old currently lies sixth in the drivers' championship. Bryant-Meisner moves to GP3 having recently called time on his European Formula 3 campaign, in which the 19-year-old scored a best result of eighth on the streets of Pau back in May for Fortec.
His arrival bears similarities to that of ex-Fortec F3 teammate Gilbert, who is looked after by the same driver management team and switched from F3 to the Trident squad for the previous GP3 rounds at Hockenheim and the Hungaroring.
Ghiotto has been racing in Formula Renault 3.5 with Draco this year and is 17th in the championship at present, his best result being a fourth place finish at Monza at the start of the season.
