Mobil 1 joins Radio Le Mans for June's 24-Hour classic

From Radio Le Mans:

From the first event at La Sarthe in 1923, fans of the world's greatest motor race have faced a challenge in keeping up with 24 Hours over eight and a half miles of mainly public road. The 24 Hours of Le Mans for 2014 is already shaping up to be one of the best ever with three factory teams battling at the front of the LMP1 field. For the majority of race fans the information lifeline on the 56 cars and 168 drivers is the FM radio station operated by Radio Show Limited.

For 2014 the station will broadcast as Mobil 1 Radio Le Mans as part of the Mobil 1 "Get Personal" campaign which will also see fans being given a VIP experience at the 24 Hours via www.mobil1.co.uk/motorsport/getpersonal.aspx

"Radio Show Limited's live broadcasts are central to the sense of community that makes endurance racing and the 24 Hours of Le Mans so special. Mobil 1 lubricants are at the heart of race winning performance, so bringing Le Mans 24 2014 directly to the fans with Mobil 1 Radio Le Mans underlines Mobil 1 as part of that community, " said Hafida EL Hallal, PVL Marketing Communications Advisor, EAME of Mobil 1.

Mobil 1 Radio Le Mans 91.2FM will bring the event to life as, for the 9th consecutive year, Radio Show Limited will be broadcasting live from trackside to millions of fans around the world and hundreds of thousands around the circuit.

"Having Mobil 1 as our principal partner for 2014 is very exciting for us," said Eve Hewitt Managing Director, Radio Show Limited. "As the World's leading synthetic motor oil brand their reputation is second to none. Endurance with no loss of performance is a perfect description of Mobil1 Radio Le Mans and the service we provide."

In addition to the live race week broadcasts Mobil 1 Radio Le Mans 91.2FM will be the only live coverage at the test day on Sunday, June. 1
