Le Mans: Strakka Dome withdraws from test
The new Strakka Dome LMP2 coupe has been withdrawn from this week's World Endurance Championship test due to "a late technical issue".
The car, which ran for the first time at Turweston aerodrome earlier this week, was scheduled to get its first proper outing at the two-day WEC "Prologue" test at Paul Ricard, which starts on Friday.
Strakka will instead run the car in a private test at a later date.
"Teething problems such as these are not unexpected with a brand new car," said Dome's chief designer Hiroshi Yuchi. "Together with Strakka Racing we have all worked extremely hard to have the car out at the Prologue but we have to reschedule.
"We are now planning a private test in Europe where we can start to really develop and refine the car ahead of the first round of the World Endurance Championship."
