No change in Schumacher's condition

Michael Schumacher remains in a critical condition in a Grenoble hospital, with no official update expected today from his management team or the doctors looking after him.

Media at the hospital have been told that for the first time since the accident there are no plans for an official update about his condition from either doctors or his manager Sabine Kehm as there have been no fresh developments. However, should there be any changes in his condition then details will be made public.

The seven-time world champion is in an induced coma in the University Hospital of Grenoble after suffering serious head injuries during a skiing accident at the weekend.

Having undergone two successful brain operations, Schumacher's condition has stabilized. But despite some improvements over the past 48 hours, doctors still believe it is too early to give a prognosis.

Schumacher's family have been at his bedside, and FIA president Jean Todt, who worked with the German during his successful spell at Ferrari, has also visited him.
