Ricky Taylor, da Costa join JOTA Cadillac for 2027 WEC

Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA has finalized its driver line-ups for the 2027 FIA World Endurance Championship season, confirming the arrivals of Antonio Felix da Costa and Ricky Taylor and the departures of Alex Lynn and Sebastien Bourdais.

Da Costa will return to JOTA after cutting ties with Alpine, while Cadillac IMSA GTP regular Taylor will add a WEC title campaign to his expected 2027 IMSA commitments. The pair will join Norman Nato, Will Stevens, Earl Bamber and Jack Aitken, who will remain with the team for 2027.

Five of Cadillac’s six WEC drivers are set to contest all nine rounds of the championship next season. Da Costa will miss the 6 Hours of São Paulo because of a scheduling clash with the Formula E round in Shanghai.

Taylor is familiar with JOTA, having raced for the team at Circuit of The Americas earlier this season in the No. 12 Cadillac V-Series.R while Alex Lynn recovered from neck surgery. The American has amassed 32 victories and 76 podium finishes in IMSA competition and will look to add WEC honors to his record.

“I’m incredibly honored to be joining Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA for the 2027 season," Taylor said. "Racing full-time in a FIA world championship is something I’ve never had the opportunity to do before, so I’m excited for the prospect and to be joining a team that has spent so many years achieving podiums and wins on the world stage.

“I already know many of the team and drivers from my time in IMSA, and I also had the opportunity to race with Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA in Austin this year, so I already feel right at home. I can’t wait to get started!”

Da Costa also previously raced for JOTA during one of the team’s most successful periods, winning the FIA WEC LMP2 title and taking a class victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans with the British outfit in 2022.

“It feels really special to be coming back to JOTA,” he said. “I have some amazing memories with this team; we achieved a lot together, and I still have so many friends here, so in many ways it feels like coming home. At the same time, this is a completely new challenge and one that I’m incredibly excited about. The team has shown what it is capable of at the very highest level, and I’m coming back with one goal – to help Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA fight for wins and championships.”

Sam Hignett, director and co-founder of Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA, believes both additions will integrate seamlessly into the existing driver group.

“We are incredibly excited about our driver line-up for 2027,” he said. “In Antonio and Ricky, we are welcoming two enormously talented drivers who already know the team well and understand what we are about. Both bring a huge amount of experience, but just as importantly, they are great team players and will fit seamlessly into the group we already have. Alongside Jack, Earl, Norman and Will, we believe we have a formidable line-up for 2027, with the experience, speed and team spirit to achieve great things together.”

Da Costa and Taylor replace Bourdais and Lynn in Cadillac’s WEC line-up. Bourdais has been part of the Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA program securing multiple podium finishes during his time in the No. 38 V-Series.R.

“I’m very proud of what we have achieved together over the last two seasons,” said the French sports car and IndyCar veteran. “Joining JOTA with Cadillac was a new challenge for all of us, and it has been very rewarding to see how the program has progressed and to have contributed to some strong results along the way.

“I’ve really enjoyed working with everyone at JOTA and continuing my relationship with Cadillac, and I have a lot of respect for the people involved in this program. We still have two races to go this season, so my focus now is on doing the best job we can together and finishing on a high.”

Lynn, who has returned to the JOTA team for the final two WEC races of 2026 after recovering from a neck injury, said he has "so many beautiful memories" from his time with the team that he will "cherish forever."

“I’ve had an amazing time with JOTA over the past two years and with Cadillac Racing over the last five years," he continued. "I’ve had the honor of driving the car to four WEC pole positions, including the most special one at Le Mans, being one of the driving crew that took the first overall podium at Le Mans, the first overall WEC win and two overall Sebring 12 Hours wins.

"Thank you to every person involved from both GM and from the teams I was fortunate enough to drive for; I hope I did you proud. I always gave everything I had, and will continue to do so for the last two races.”
