Escorpioni tops Monday's Indy NXT test at Indianapolis
USF Pro 2000 championship contender Leonardo Escorpioni led the 11 drivers who took part in Monday’s Indy NXT evaluation test on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course.
After dealing with light rain, the test gained momentum where Escorpioni distanced himself from the rest with a best lap of 1m14.720s with the HMD Motorsports team.
The Brazilian cleared Andretti Global’s Alex Powell (1m14.927s), HMD’s Bruno De Pino (1m14.999s), Cape Motorsports Powered by ECR’s Nikita Bedrin (1m15.263s), Chip Ganassi Racing’s Souta Arao (1m15.313s), Cape’s Jose Garfias (1m15.354s), HMD’s Rodrigo Gonzalez (1m15.507s), Andretti’s Abbi Pulling (1m15.634s) and G3 Argyros (1m15.785s), HMD’s Patricio Gonzalez (1m15.949s), and AJ Foyt Racing’s Teddy Musella (1m16.064s).
