The ratings are in for IndyCar's inaugural Markham race

The inaugural Ontario Honda Dealers Markham Grand Prix produced an average of 913,000 viewers on FOX.

The race, won by Andretti Global’s Marcus Ericsson, delivered a 24 percent increase over last year’s Canadian street race held in Toronto, when an average of 734,000 viewers tuned in.

The crash-filled race peaked with 1,081,000 viewers from 2:15-2:30pm ET, and ranks second for Canadian IndyCar broadcasts since 2012 when the Toronto race generated an audience of 1,129,000 on ABC.
