Dixon, Kanaan, Franchitti join Legacy Motor Club strategic ownership group

Legacy Motor Club announced nine new additions to its strategic ownership group Thursday, which include three former IndyCar Series champions.

Scott Dixon, Tony Kanaan, and Dario Franchitti have become household names to motorsports fans with their combined 11 IndyCar championships and five Indianapolis 500 triumphs. However, the expanded group comprises recognizable individuals across the athletic, entertainment, business, media, finance, and hospitality landscapes:

• Bryce Harper, two-time MLB National League MPV, eight-time MLB All-Star
• Kelly Slater, 11-time world champion of World Surf League
• Andy Roddick: 2003 US Open winner
• Sam Byrne, Co-founder and co-chairman of CrossHarbor Capital Partners
• Jen Rubio, Entrepreneur and co-founder of Away
• Chase Utley, MLB World Series winner, six-time MLB All-Star 

Legacy Motor Club noted that the group collectively has over 30 championships, multiple MVP awards, Grammy Awards, or has been involved with billion-dollar companies. The group joins Darius Rucker and Guy Fieri, who were previously announced as part of the strategic ownership group.

Legacy Motor Club currently fields two full-time NASCAR Cup Series entries for John Hunter-Nemechek and Erik Jones, as well as a part-time third entry for Johnson.
