Crandon International Raceway and Ultra4 USA Series finalize new three-year partnership for Crandon Ultra4 Short Course World Championships
Crandon International Raceway and the Ultra4 USA series have announced a new three-year agreement making the Crandon Ultra4 Short Course World Championship an official part of the Ultra4 USA national landscape through the 2028 season.
Made famous at the annual King of the Hammers event in California, the Ultra4 vehicles and racers first made their Crandon debut in 2018. Under the extended partnership, Crandon will continue hosting Ultra4 USA teams and drivers from around the country in a variety of categories. Their next appearance will take place on Labor Day weekend’s Polaris Crandon World Championship Off-Road Races.
The 2026 Crandon appearance serves as a bonus points event for Ultra4 USA competitors. The 2027 and 2028 editions will become official rounds of the Ultra4 USA national series, awarding full championship season points, and further integrating Crandon into the national Ultra4 championship schedule.
“Crandon has represented the pinnacle of off-road racing since 1970, and we have proudly showcasing Ultra4 racers for years,” saidd Jason Flannery, President of Crandon International Raceway.
“Partnering with Ultra4 USA for the next three seasons allows us to build an even bigger stage for off-road racing’s most versatile vehicles.”
Major upgrades to the Crandon Ultracross course include building a huge new tabletop jump designed to create spectacular side-by-side racing action, and a massive new rock and dirt climb section positioned directly in front of the spectator viewing area.
The new features were designed in cooperation with Ultra4 USA management to enhance both the competitive challenge for drivers and the fan experience by bringing spectators closer than ever to the technical rock-crawling action that defines Ultra4 racing.
“Ultra4 USA is excited to strengthen our relationship with Crandon and bring our competitors to one of the most iconic venues in motorsports,” said Ultra4 USA Commissioner John Goodby .
“This is the second-largest event for Ultra4 USA outside of King of the Hammers. Crandon’s legendary racing heritage, the upgraded Crandonland course, live RACER Network television coverage and the energy surrounding the Polaris Crandon World Championship creates an unparalleled experience for all our competitors.”
2026 will also bring the expansion of night racing on the World Championship weekend schedule. The Hella Lights “Rage on the Rocks” will remain the feature highlight for Saturday night, but additional night practice and qualifying sessions will be added earlier in the event schedule.
Crandon’s night competitions represent the only professionally sanctioned off-road night races in America.
Additional event details, race schedules, and registration information for the 2026 Crandon Ultra4 Short Course World Championship will be announced in the coming weeks.
