Heinrich joins CrowdStrike by APR LMP2 line-up for Le Mans

Porsche factory driver Laurin Heinrich will make his 24 Hours of Le Mans and LMP2 debut next month, driving for CrowdStrike Racing by APR in LMP2 Pro/Am.

The 24-year-old German is set to share the No. 4 ORECA 07 – Gibson with 2023 class winner George Kurtz and Peugeot development driver Alex Quinn, as the Portuguese outfit looks to build on its victory from this year’s 24 Hours of Daytona.

While it's Heinrich's first LMP2 outing, he's got plenty of high-level prototype experience to draw from since his Hypercar debut in the WEC finale at Bahrain last year, when he raced for Porsche Penske Motorsport. Following that drive he has transitioned into competing in IMSA’s GTP category, splitting his season between the factory squad and JDC-Miller MotorSports.

In a dream start to the year, Heinrich has already won both Daytona and the 12 Hours of Sebring, with this Le Mans opportunity giving him a shot at his own version of achieving sportscar racing’s unofficial triple crown.

The 24-year-old joins fellow Porsche factory drivers Kevin Estre (TDS Racing) and Julien Andlauer (Duqueine Team) in finding LMP2 drives for Le Mans, following the marque’s withdrawal from Hypercar at the end of 2025.

“Joining a team that has already won at Le Mans is a great opportunity,” Heinrich said.

“We’ve got a strong line-up and everything we need to be competitive, so the focus is on executing well and putting ourselves in the fight at the front.”

The No. 4 ORECA will form part of a two-car LMP2 Pro/Am effort from Algarve Pro Racing at Le Mans this year, as it seeks its third victory in the class. The sister No. 25 entry will be driven by Michael Jensen and Enzo Trulli, with the third driver still to be announced.
