Another ratings win for IndyCar at Arlington
For the first time since it welcomed FOX as its broadcaster in 2025, the IndyCar Series has posted three consecutive television audiences with an average exceeding 1 million viewers that didn’t include the Indianapolis 500.
Nielsen Research confirmed the average of 1,336,000 viewers who watched Andretti Global’s Kyle Kirkwood run away with the Java House Arlington Grand Prix on Sunday with a peak of 1,563,000 from 2:00-2:15pm ET.
Combined with the 1,396,000 at St. Petersburg and the 1,247,000 from Phoenix, Arlington’s audience brings the season’s average to 1,326,333 viewers per race, which is a sizable improvement over the 891,000 average delivered during the three opening races from 2025.
Last year, FOX exceeded 1 million viewers just four times outside of the Indy 500 and has nearly matched that total in the first month of the season.
