TAG One Motorsport launches six-car program in Radical Cup Canada
TAG One Motorsport has announced an ambitious six-car program in the Emzone Radical Cup Canada presented by Michelin.
This initiative aims to actively contribute to the growth of professional motorsport in Canada, with a strong presence in Quebec. Fans will be able to follow TAG One Motorsport throughout the season with race broadcasts of the Emzone Radical Cup Canada presented by Michelin airing on RDS this summer.
Founded by a group of racing enthusiasts and business professionals, TAG One Motorsport’s mission is to elevate the motorsport experience by combining elite performance, professional support, and meaningful business opportunities, while fostering the development of emerging driving talent.
A prominent figure in Canadian motorsport and inductee of the Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame, Alex Tagliani is directly involved in the project and will play a key role within the team, both competitively and strategically.
The TAG One Motorsport project took shape when longtime friend Cedric Oyahon invited Tagliani to drive a Radical race car. That first experience quickly turned into a revelation during a race weekend at the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières (GP3R).
“I was immediately hooked,” explains Tagliani. “I realized this series represents an outstanding platform for young drivers coming up from karting, as well as for experienced drivers who want to experience the pure joy of racing.”
The Radical race car stands out for its versatility and highly technical characteristics. It is perfectly suited for high-level competition, driver development, corporate experiences, and track-day programs.
“It requires precise and disciplined driving to extract maximum performance,” Tagliani said. “The aerodynamic downforce, the sensations, and the technical challenge make it a true race car. Driving it brought me back to my Formula Atlantic days.”
TAG One Motorsport is proud to count on the support of dedicated partners and
collaborators, each playing a key role in the program’s success:
· Alexandre Moïse – President & Co-Founder, MR Wealth Management (MRGP)
· Cedric Ohayon– President Groupe Farinex & Distribution Alimentaire Mansion
· John Benoualid – President, Evoli Consulting
· Jean-Christophe Duchaine – President & Co-Founder, APPCOM
· Alex Tagliani – Co-Founder, Tag e-Karting
“This project allows us to bring business and passion together in a structured and professional racing environment,” said Tagliani.
The team also acknowledges valuable support of FEL Motorsports, whose collaboration has been instrumental in establishing the program. TAG One Motorsport looks forward to continuing this partnership to introduce new ideas and further develop motorsport in Quebec and across Canada.
“FEL Motorsports could not be more excited to have TAG One join our grids in 2026,” said Chris Bye, President of FEL Motorsports. “To have a Canadian racing stand-out like Alex Tagliani join us is another strong endorsement from the Canadian motorsport community. Our goal has always been to provide young Canadian drivers with an ultracompetitive platform to develop their skills, while offering veteran drivers a challenging environment to race for wins.”
Special thanks are also extended to Robert Burgess of Radical Canada for his guidance and expertise.
“I have to thank Robert, although he might say it escalated quickly,” Tagliani joked. “One test drive was all it took before I was placing an order. That speaks volumes about the quality of the car and the experience he’s built around it.”
“As Radical Canada we couldn’t be more excited to see Alex and Tag One Motorsport involved in the series. He thrilled us all during his career in IndyCar and now having him involved with us is great for the sport in Canada. It’s an honor to share the track with him, and to develop the business of Radical Cars in Quebec” said Burgess.
For its inaugural season, TAG One Motorsport will also collaborate within the Esports space to build long-term relationships with the drivers of tomorrow and establish strong developmental foundations.
The team has invested in brand-new equipment, ensuring a top-tier experience both on and off the track for drivers, partners, and sponsors.
While 2026 will serve as a learning and structuring year, ambitions are already clear. The long-term objective is to expand the program to eight cars in the near future. Two young drivers will be continuing their development in karting and Radical testing programs, with additional sessions scheduled before the end of the year in preparation for next season.
Announcements regarding driver line-ups and additional partners for the 2026 season will be made in the coming weeks.
