IndyCar tabs Monumental Sports & Entertainment as marketing, hospitality agency for Freedom 250 GP
Monumental Sports & Entertainment has been signed to “serve as the official marketing, sponsorships and corporate hospitality sales agency” for the Freedom 250 Grand Prix of Washington D.C., according to the IndyCar Series. MSE owns the Washington Wizards NBA team, the Washington Mystics WNBA team, the Washington Capitals NHL team, has its own regional TV network, and "hosts hundreds of high-profile events each year."
“This is an incredible partnership built to make history on the streets of our nation’s capital,” said Bud Denker, chairman of the Freedom 250 Grand Prix of Washington, D.C. and president of Penske Corporation.

Marshall Pruett
The 2026 season marks Marshall Pruett's 40th year working in the sport. In his role today for RACER, Pruett covers open-wheel and sports car racing as a writer, reporter, photographer, and filmmaker. In his previous career, he served as a mechanic, engineer, and team manager in a variety of series, including IndyCar, IMSA, and World Challenge.
