FOX Sports postpones first IndyCar commercial to Jan 17 weekend

FOX has pushed the debut of its first new IndyCar Series driver promotional commercial from this weekend’s National Football League Wild Card games to next weekend’s Divisional Rounds across January 17-18.

Plans confirmed earlier in the week by IndyCar and FOX Sports had the first of four driver commercials filmed with Josef Newgarden, Pato O’Ward, and Alex Palou – the three promo returnees from 2025 – and newcomer Will Power set to launch on Saturday. But as a FOX Sports representative explained in an outreach on Friday, the decision was made to spend more time on the final edit for the first commercial which has altered the publishing timeline.

With the revised schedule, FOX will have two NFL weekends left with heavy viewership to deploy the commercials before NBC steps in and takes the Super Bowl on February 8.
