Ginetta to make SRO GT America debut at Indianapolis

Ginetta will compete in the SRO GT America series for the very first time at IMS for this weekend's Indianapolis 8 Hour, marking the start of a significant new chapter in the British brand's North American growth story. The British company will enter the top level of U.S. GT racing, running a dedicated one-make ‘spec’ series for its V8-powered GTP8 cars within the SRO GT America championship.

The move represents just the latest stage in Ginetta's expansion into the North American market, and follows the success of Ginetta's North America Challenge series.

The star of the new series, the Ginetta GTP8, will be seen in public in the U.S. for the first time at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Running from the 16th to 19th October, the car will be on public display, shown off to teams and fans alike at the iconic circuit.

The move is the natural next step for the Ginetta brand in North America and follows the great success of the America GT challenge in recent years. The GTP8's arrival in SRO GT America opens up fresh opportunities for both existing Ginetta customers and new teams looking to compete at the highest level of American GT racing. It will offer a further route to progression for aspiring racers in the United States and beyond, enabling them to take the next step in their driver development.
