IndyCar ends season with a ratings bump for Nashville
The farewell IndyCar Series race of 2025 at Nashville Speedway ended on a high for FOX as the broadcaster concluded its first season with the series by posting an average audience size of 1,142,000 viewers to watch Team Penske and Josef Newgarden sail into the offseason with a victory in hand.
The result represented a 136.7-percent growth over the 482,568 viewers who tuned in to watch last year’s Nashville race on NBC and peaked at 1,338,000 viewers from 4:30-4:45pm.
Nashville's audience of one million-plus ended a string of eight consecutive races that fell below the seven-digit threshold; the last race with more than 1,000,000 viewers was June's visit to World Wide Technology Race way which generated an average of 1,012,000.
FOX Sports is expected to reveal a more in-depth look at the season’s audience in the near future
