Legge back with Coyne for IndyCar's Milwaukee doubleheader
Katherine Legge’s season of NTT IndyCar Series oval racing will continue in Wisconsin as she returns to the No. 51 Dale Coyne Racing Honda for this weekend's pair of Milwaukee 250 races.
“I can’t wait to be back in the car this weekend with two opportunities to give the team some good results,” said Legge. “Our No. 51 e.l.f. Cosmetics Honda was good at World Wide Technology Raceway, it’s a shame I wasn’t able to take full advantage of that event. Hopefully our cars will be as good, and we can have a strong weekend in Milwaukee.”
Legge has raced at the Milwaukee Mile on two previous occasions, making her one of six current IndyCar drivers to have experience on the historic oval. Legge’s last race at the track came in 2012 with Dragon Racing when she placed 18th. On her debut in 2006 with the PKV Champ Car team, the Briton achieved the best IndyCar result of a career that’s spanned three decades with a run to sixth.
The Milwaukee doubleheader will bring Legge’s tally of races up to six in 2024 with Coyne and she’s expected to complete the year in the No. 51 at the season finale in September at Nashville Speedway.
