Legge to make Coyne return at Iowa

Katherine Legge will return to the No. 51 Dale Coyne Racing Honda for this weekend’s Hy-Vee IndyCar Doubleheader at Iowa Speedway. Legge piloted the car for Coyne at the Indianapolis 500 and is a strong candidate to stay in the car for the remaining ovals at World Wide Technology Raceway, Milwaukee, and Nashville.

“I’m thrilled to be behind the wheel of an IndyCar this weekend,” Legge said. “We had a successful test there last week, and I’m really looking forward to seeing how the races unfold on the new surface. I’m grateful to Dale Coyne and Honda and so happy to be back in the 51.”

Coyne also relied on Legge to test for the team last month at Milwaukee, which speaks to his respect for the veteran’s skills.

“We’re looking forward to having Katherine back in the car with us at Iowa this weekend,” he said. “She did a good job for us at Indy and we had a strong test at Iowa Speedway last week with both Katherine and Jack (Harvey). We’re excited to see what the doubleheader weekend in Iowa brings.”
