A Radical Journey: If the seat fits

Episodes 3 and 4 of the video series "A Radical Journey" have dropped featuring former ALMS and current Radical Cup North America driver, Chris McMurry as host.

In Episode 3, McMurry catches up with John Field, another veteran of the ALMS prototype class who now gets his racing fix in the Radical Cup. Like McMurry, Field has found the Radical Cup to quench his competitive thirst while having a lot of fun along the way.

In contrast to Field, and McMurry himself, we’re also introduced to a pair of young hot shoes in Nick d'Orlando. Both are working their way up the motorsport ladder and finding the benefits of racing a more aero dependent Radical as a great steppingstone to faster machinery.

For Episode 4, McMurry takes a deep dive into the importance of seat-fitting when he sits down with Randy Smay who has at one time or another made a seat for a host of IndyCar drivers from Mauricio Gugelmin to Scott Dixon. According to Smay, a custom seat cannot only help you go faster, but could also potentially prevent serious injury in the event of an impact.
