Erik Jones has used this season to get back to the basics of racing with the single-car operation of Richard Petty Motorsports. Jones has been out of the spotlight and high expectations that came with his previous job for Toyota and Joe Gibbs Racing, and he’s been enjoying that. Jones joins The Racing Writer’s Podcast to discuss his season, growing up over the last year, dedicated Petty fans, and much more.
Kelly Crandall
Kelly has been on the NASCAR beat full-time since 2013, and joined RACER as chief NASCAR writer in 2017. Her work has also appeared in NASCAR.com, the NASCAR Illustrated magazine, and NBC Sports. A corporate communications graduate from Central Penn College, Crandall is a two-time George Cunningham Writer of the Year recipient from the National Motorsports Press Association.
