Mecum OnTime Auctions Feature Le Mans and Other Racing Event Items

Walworth, WI -- As part of its online auction platform, Mecum will open a 47-lot

Tokens of Le Mans

sale on May 20 that features posters, art and books with ties to the historic race, all selling at no reserve.

Special lots include several theatrical release posters and lobby cards related to the Le Mans film starring Steve McQueen, as well as an undisplayed 8-foot by 10-foot billboard for the 1980 Le Mans race. The sale closes May 27.

sale opens May 25 with 59 lots of posters promoting race events from around the world -- from Brooklands to Detroit, Sebring to Thruxton, Le Mans to a Hawaiian race that never actually occurred. All selling at no reserve, the collection showcasing spectacular designs, iconic cars and historic venues closes May 29.
