Harvick keeps SHR on top in second Michigan practice

Another Stewart-Haas Racing Ford led the way in NASCAR Cup Series practice at Michigan, this time the No. 4 of Kevin Harvick.

Harvick, winner in the series’ second visit to Michigan last season, was fastest of all in Friday’s final practice at 188.763mph (38.143s).

Second fastest was Kyle Busch at 188.729mph, with Harvick’s SHR teammate Clint Bowyer third quick at 188.477mph. The other two SHR cars, Daniel Suarez and Aric Almirola, completed the top five at 188.157mph and 187.926mph, respectively.

Filling out the top 10 were Kurt Busch at 187.857mph, Erik Jones at 187.813mph, Jimmie Johnson at 187.627mph, Martin Truex Jr. at 187.490mph, and Alex Bowman at 187.446mph.

There were no incidents in the 50-minute afternoon session.
