Carpenter turns red for Texas

By

Ed Carpenter returns to the cockpit of his team’s No. 20 Chevrolet for this Saturday’s DXC Technology 600 at Texas Motor Speedway in new colors. The Ed Carpenter Racing team will field a pair of entries backed by Autogeek.com car care for the owner/driver and teammate Spencer Pigot.

“Texas is always a race that I am very excited for,” said Carpenter, who finished sixth last time out at the Indianapolis 500, his only other start thus far this season. “The NTT IndyCar Series has such a long history racing at TMS and, as a former winner, it is always one of my favorite races. On top of that, it is my first chance to move on from the Indy 500 and work to get back to Victory Lane!”

In a change from previous years at TMS, on-track activity for the Indy car drivers will kick off a day earlier. The opening practice session will take place from 7-9 p.m. CT on Thursday, June 6. Cars will again hit the track from 2-3 p.m. CT on Friday, June 7 before qualifying at 5:45 p.m. The DXC Technology 600 begins at 7 p.m. CT (8 p.m. ET) on Saturday, June 8.
