Two Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series crew chiefs have been issued safety penalties after the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Todd Gordon, of Team Penske, and Brian Pattie, of Roush Fenway Racing, have been fined $10,000. Both of their cars were found to have one unsecured lug nut after the 600-mile race.

Gordon is the crew chief of Joey Logano’s No. 22 Ford Mustang, which finished second Sunday night. Pattie leads the No. 17 group of Ricky Stenhouse Jr. (photo above), which earned their first top-five finish of the season over the weekend.

Additionally, NASCAR has reinstated crew member William McAlister after he successfully completed NASCAR’s Road to Recovery Program. McAlister had been indefinitely suspended for violating the substance abuse policy back in April.
