Toro Rosso names earliest launch to date
Toro Rosso is set to be the first team to unveil its 2019 Formula 1 car after announcing a launch date of February 11.
Traditionally Toro Rosso has rolled out its new car in the pit lane at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, following a filming day near its factory in Italy. However, with the team working with Honda as power unit supplier for the second successive year and benefitting from a number of Red Bull components this season, it has opted for an early launch date.
Unveiling the car on the Monday -- one week before the first pre-season test gets underway in Spain -- Toro Rosso currently has the earliest date confirmed, with Renault then set to launch on February 12.
Force India, McLaren and Ferrari will then follow on consecutive days from February 13-15 respectively, with Sauber announcing it will reveal its 2019 car in the pit lane ahead of the start of testing on February 18.
With Pierre Gasly moving up to Red Bull in place of Daniel Ricciardo and Brendon Hartley being dropped, Toro Rosso has a completely fresh driver line-up compared to 2018, with Daniil Kvyat returning after a year out to be paired with rookie Alexander Albon.
