The Lucas Oil Racing TV and MAVTV networks both will broadcast the 33rd running of the Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Midget Nationals presented by General Tire live on Saturday, January 19 starting at 8:30 p.m. ET. The three-hour HD broadcast from the River Spirit Expo in Tulsa, Oklahoma, will re-air on both networks Sunday, January 20 starting at 1:30 a.m. ET.
With more than 300 entries, the 2019 Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals field has attracted top American racers including stars from Midgets, Late Model Dirt, Super Modified, World of Outlaws, NASCAR, NHRA and USAC. Drivers hail from 30 U.S. states plus international competition from Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the UK, making it the world’s largest indoor race.
Back-to-back champion Christopher Bell will defend his Chili Bowl crown against the likes of 5-time Chili Bowl champion Sammy Swindell, 2-time Chili Bowl champion Rico Abreu, Kyle Larson, Brad Sweet (Knoxville Nationals winner), Dave Darland, Damion Gardner, Jerry Coons Jr., and Kasey Kahne.
The 3-hour telecast will be anchored by Bob Dillner, with Ken Stout and Rob Klepper handling commentary and Dave Argabright working the pits.
