Even with the Formula 1 world championship already decided, more viewers tuned in to see the last race of 2018 than watched the race last year.

The season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix drew a 0.32 rating and averaged 487,000 viewers on ESPN2, up from a 0.29 and average of 444,000 viewers last year on NBCSN.

In NASCAR ratings news, SportsBusiness Daily reports the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series average viewership in 2018 (including both FOX and NBC properties) dropped to 3.3 million viewers in 2018 from 4.1 million last year.

SBD reports race-day content consumption rose 29 percent, page views increased 13 percent and video views jumped 49 percent.
